BORN AND RAISED in Chattanooga, Sherry has loved watching the city grow, especially small businesses within the community. “Supporting small” is something she feels especially passionate about during COVID times. ⁠

DURING THE DAY Sherry works at Bahakel Communications as a Senior Marketing Specialist, a position she’s held for 23 years. It’s her side hustle, though, that keeps her up at night: Victorious' Jewelry Closet. ⁠

UPLIFTING AND INSPIRING are her main objectives in her handmade jewelry company, @victoriousjewelrycloset, working gemstones and inspirational quotes into all of her pieces. She’s heard stories of her jewelry comforting women through difficult life moments. And that, says Sherry, "makes it all worth it."⁠

SHE OWES her 2-year-old company to LAUNCH of Chattanooga, a non-profit offering business training to underserved entrepreneurs. Not only did they instruct her through classes, they helped her create a logo, social media presence, and business plan. Even now, they stay connected with ongoing learning opportunities. ⁠
