MEMBER FOCUS: Reginald F. Smith II
HE FINDS THE ANSWER in helping others. COVID-19 and tornadoes have disrupted many lives in Chattanooga, but the work Reginald does as Executive Director of The Bethlehem Center is a beacon of light that unites the community.
FOUR CARDINAL PRINCIPLES of his fraternity keep him going; they are: manhood, scholarship, perseverance, and uplift. A community leader and current PhD candidate, Reginald uses those guiding principles to ask: “What is my duty to the world?”
ONCE WE CAN GATHER again, Reginald plans to celebrate with friends, new and old, in Common House’s Ruby Hall. He can’t wait to learn how to make a killer cocktail, and to have dinner with his wife while watching the sun set over Lookout Mountain. Most of all, he can’t wait for the community to come together again, hand-in-hand.
